I know of a few quit drinking programs you can join. I even know the names of some of the organizations that organize them. Names like LifeRing Secular Recovery and Rational Recovery. They can be a great help to people who have had enough of being called drunks, people who are ready to cease back the control of their lives.

You may have heard of SMART Recovery. They are an organization actually, that help people like yourself who have had enough of alcoholism and want to quit. For women, you can join the society Women for Sobriety. And if you happen to be younger than eighteen, there are all kinds of facilities all over the country that provide just the kind of attention that you need. Just don't sit there doing nothing.

To quit drinking, you can go online and read up on Rationing and moderation. Several programs like that exist to help you in your quest to really stop the bad drinking habit. They are easy to follow if you are determined, but you might be better off with someone to act as a support during the program.

When you are unable to limit your drinking, you are far gone. At this point you are no longer in control of your life, and you need help to cease that control back. At this point, you need to get help from a professional; I don't think you should try to do it on your own. Fortunately, there are more than a few of them out there with their services for hire when you are ready.

There is a lot you can learn about alcoholism from the writings on the wall, and those writings are all around you if you care to look and read. The Good Book, for instance, says: flee all appearance of evil. If there is such a thing as evil in our modern day, it is alcoholism and drunkenness. If you have once been victim to it, the Good Book says, flee. So flee, and don't let it ever be caught on your lips again. sites
