Every year the teachers in the school district I teach at go to an educational supplier store that has every little thing us teacher folk use as teaching aids during class. They have all the materials we need to teach any subject, everything you need to decorate the classroom with, and other classroom supplies that we give out to students at the beginning of the year. The whole shop is greatly discounted with a huge selection of things that can be used in the classroom.

I'm a science teacher so there are already myriad amounts of materials that I need to instruct my class, lead labs, and decorate my classroom. Luckily the store has everything laid out in a neat and organized fashion. Under the science classroom materials section I can find all the materials I should have fun projects to do in class in addition to other school materials that could last me the whole year. At the back of the science materials for classroom section of the store is a whole wall devoted to teacher materials for science teachers.

My friend Ann who instructs special education in another school district, always asks to come with the other instructors and I when we go to the school classroom supplies store. This is the best location for her to find all her classroom materials due to the fact that they have a lot of special needs education resources that she stands by every school year. The special needs teaching supplies area arranges activities according to the specific needs of each student in special education. For instance, there's a book that she buys every year that has tasks for students that have Down syndrome. These activities are enjoyable for pupils and help with their total growth and development.

The best part of the whole shop is a section that has printable school materials that teachers could pick from worksheets, and various other teaching materials they want to use in their lesson plans. A lot of the mathematics teachers find homework pages and practice sheets in this department. For me though, I always appear to forget to look here for printable materials that I can use in my classroom. Nevertheless, once I'm done getting every little thing from the science department I already have more than I need and I wind up spending more money than I originally planned on.

I think that every school district should either go to a classroom materials shop or find a website that has everything we need to get prepared for the upcoming academic year. This way the teachers have every little thing they need to make lesson plans fascinating and create a fun learning environment for all their students. Next school year I think that Ann is going to speak to the superintendant about planning a trip to go to the school supply store with all the instructors in the school.
