Well, there are lots of explanations obviously. A useful definition, in scientific perspective, is the one that allow myriads things to be analyzed by us with fewest principles. So here they're.
An income organism is really a class of traits that are shared 3 by objects.
1. Reproduce. Living patient could make copies.
2. Receive. Traits will be inherited by living organism, in the process of reproducing, to the offspring.
3. Mutate. Living patient, in the process of inheriting, will make small mistakes.
That may seem like an acceptable explanation. If we search most living things around us, like dogs, cats, pigs, birds, fido, virus, etc., those traits are all shared by them.
But, based on those definitions, God is not alive, while trojan, religious doctrines, ideologies, and ideas are alive.
I dont believe God will mind though. Its just a definition.
The functional aspect is that we could use evolution theory to explain the sort of people, cats, dogs, microbes, doctrines, ideologies, and ideas that are normal nowadays.
Different living organism works these 3 traits differently. Those living organism that reproduces a lot becomes lots. Those who reproduced a lot, become popular.
Thats the fundamental of development theory.
For instance, we note that peacocks are apt to have long elaborated tails. Out of this, we could imagine peacocks with long elaborate tail should have made more peachicks. Perhaps, peahen love peacocks with long complex tails. Its true.
Suppose it were true. Then peacocks with longer tails can mate with more peahens. These happy partners will likely then create more peachicks.
Long tails will be inherited by male peachicks. Female peachicks can get preferences for long tail. So, peahens like peacocks with long tail.
It seems like a circular argument. It is. The stark reality is we dont really know for sure, at the least only from the reason, why peacocks have long tail.
But, we do know that characteristics that result in gene pool survival through sexual selection are usually positive feedback.
Those are traits that either increase gene share emergency through standard means or transmission capability to survive on the women. Examples of the former are Cheetahs pace and mens success. Types of the latter are peacocks tail and sport cars.
The more peacocks have longer tail, the more peacocks in the foreseeable future, may have even longer tails. The more peahens in the foreseeable future can get switched on by long tail even more.
Today, most men are poor. Does which means that women such as the poor? Does being poor serve gene pool success?
