A old, badly animated cartoon show about one Speed Racer, who races with the best car ever designed, the Mach 5. If you want the Speed Racer experience just suck up to Phil who has the first 3 volumes of episodes on DVD and is in the process of getting the fourth.

Fun Facts

• The first villain that appeared was named "Ace Deucey."
• There is another racer that appears called "Skull Duggery."
• His name is actually Speed Racer and his parents are Mom and Pops Racer
• The functions of the buttons on the steering wheel on the Mach 5 are as follows:
  • Control A: Can release powerful jacks to aid in repairs or to allow the car to leap over small distances.
  • Control B: Sports special "all terrain" grip tires on the wheels of the car, I.E. firm, icy, or sliding ground. Also divides extra horsepower evenly to the tires.
  • Control C: Produces two powerful rotary saws in the front of the car for use in overgrown or woody terrain to cut down obstacles. Also a means of defense.
  • Control D: Releases a powerful deflector windshield, sealing the cockpit into an air-conditioned, bullet-proof, and water-tight chamber.
  • Control E: Controls special lighting in the front of the car that is much better than normal headlights.
  • Control F: Used for underwater travel, the cockpit is sealed after being pumped full of oxygen. A periscope is also used to scan the surface of the water, and is relayed via television to Speed.
  • Control G: Releases a homing robot that can hold messages to be sent to anyone.
