I just returned from the week long camping trip and needless to say I couldn't help but carry my chips and cards. I got some kids with the scouts to there camp and all day long I did nothing.
There where some previous kids and some young kids, but they where all planning to play just because I had nothing to do. Everybody would be amazed by the result of these games.
Texas hold em is just a game of mystery and astonishment, you can never tell what is planning to happen.
We played a casino game with 1/2 blids and 6 people, on this occation. Each player had 40 chips. I tought the children who where unaware. They didn't know how exactly to play, they did not know the packages and the combinations. They had no possibility of winning.
The other people where around 17 and 18 years of age. They where fair participants and with my help they acquired a few of the fundamentals of texas holdem. They tried to help keep the tells off there faces but they really could not. They always stared at the flop enjoy it would definitely fly away or something. When this occurs I centered on there faces.
It absolutely was easy to tell if they had cards or not. There hills where there and obvious beast texas holdem arms where exactly the same.
Now, when we put in the young kids, thats when the trouble started. Because they had no idea how to play texas hold em, there was no way they where likely to get. The moment we started, they where betting 3 ahead of the flop. Most of us went with it thinking they where doing it for enjoyment, raising the stakes.
Thats where it all went down hill. They where pulling out pocket aces, suited connectors, concecutives. They won on the water with straights and flushes. We underestimated them almost every time and checked every time. There arms where unparalleled and they won every hand. THey dominated each hand and they didnt even understand what they where doing.
They were turned by us in to texas hold em sharks. They played tighter and finished there talent once the older guys understood that younger guys where getting great cards.
A valuable poker lesson was all learned by us that day: Never underestimate your opponents, regardless of how old they're or since the cards will come as they'll either way how competent they're.
