How to Play

Things needed to play:

  • One deck of cards
  • Enough spoons, one less then the number of players

Play starts by dealing out four cards to each player. The main idea of the game is to get four of a kind. This is accomplished by passing cards (starting with the dealer) to your left. Each round begins with the dealer drawing from the deck of cards left on the pile. As you pick up cards keep the ones you need and pass the other cards. You are allowed four cards in your hand at any one time. You can grab a spoon after you have four of a kind or another player has already grabbed a spoon. The player who doesn't get a spoon receives a letter. Once a player spells the word "spoons," they are out of the game and fast paced play continues.

Strategy

When someone else first grabs a spoon it is legal for you to then grab a spoon by any means necessary. Try to watch out for ladies with nails. This game is not for the faint at heart, lives have been lost.
